 Show skins? 15.01.2002 (19:41) CyberKef
Here me again :D

I looked at the tech-page from EpicGames (yes, I know, I'm curious) to look what they say about server querying... I think you used this page to built your program, but if you didn't, it can help you (I think :S)

I saw there is a value to see the skin of the player. I thought it is a cool item as extra information...

I said it before and I'll say it again:

This program really kicks ass!!!

Should it also be possible to show the mesh and/or face of the player?

Hehe, yeah man, it is.

I know the page you mean. But actually I thought displaying those 3 values only would cost space.
No, you can ask the server several details via \player_property\XYZ or \level_property\XYZ

See the upcoming tech-page.

Well, here me again :)

> But actually I thought displaying those 3 values only would cost space.

Isn't it possible to add something in the program to select a player [this isn't possible yet, is it??] (or more players...) in the playerlist from a server, then double-click on his name, and you get all that extra space-stealing info in a nice box/table separated from the current program-interface.

Maybe you can work this out so you can monitor a player (for example a friend), instead of watching the whole table. If you don't want to see it, you just have not to double-click on his name!

In this box you can really work something cools out: ranking in the game, frags (is it possible to show the number suicides, how much he killed, how much he was killed apart?), team, health, weapon, spree, the map he is playing in, the server he is playing on, game-type, ... And then just watch this box instead of the match...

And when you want to monitor more players (3 for ex), just put all this info into another table into this box.

I would find it cool to see what my mates are doing in UT... But I suppose here we face something you were working on (finding players on the servers). When your friend plays on another server, another map, you can see it then in the box (maybe a little sound to warn you then, when he changes :D).

I think this idea is cool without being impossible. I suppose it's just a little bit more programming... :D

I hope you can see what I mean, it's rather difficult to explain something in a language that isn't mine!

First of all to this one:

I see, cause it isn't my language either. I'm German and so I naturally speak.

You got me! The players graph tab on the details (right bottom corner) was this kind of view before release #4.
Actually I though this graph function is more useful and discarded the textual display of player details. I will re-think about that, okay? I can not promise, it will be available in the next release because I'm quite busy on some other features that need to be finished. But I'll mention it.

No, not any more. But as I said, I'll mention this in a future release.

See above...

Most of this is available information (as it is displayed in the table already.)
The score information UT-Servers return is quite poor. I only get the frags. No suicide info, no kill info. Not even a difference in CTF whether the frags were gotten by a cap or by some kills. (Each cap is 7 frags, 5 frags are retrieved on a flag recovery, etc.)

We'll see what's coming, okay?

Actuallay, almost nothing ever was impossible. But quite often it's too hard to be done. (by me)

But I recommend you to stay tuned. Next release will really kick asses.

So long, Path

Off course, I watched it now and it really shows what I mentionned. But it isn't so readable, is it (damned, do I really have critics on everything?? :-D )? I viewed a match with it (16 players) and, whow, what a mess of lines and colours!!! ;-)

I saw almost everything I "asked" will be in the next release, so okay, I'm going to wait until your next release!

Well, well, neighbour! I'm from Belgium! :D
